Beamor is a locally owned and operated business in Melbourne’s beautiful north-west town of Keilor East, within the Moonee Valley area. We are a husband and wife team working out of the Beamor workshop grinding, hammering and needling beautiful pieces for you to own. With our hands-on approach and keen eye for designing unique pieces, we decided to turn our dream into reality and open our workshop to the public and create amazing items for you.

We take great pride in our work, we love what we do and we are passionate about every piece we craft.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The name Beamor derives from both our names, our beliefs and the strength behind what we can achieve. The business (for us) represents what we love to do and how well we work together as a team. We wanted the name and logo to include a little something from each of us, so we took that from our names Barry (B) and Melinda (M). As brainstorming sessions grew longer and cups of tea turned into whisky, we stumbled upon a singular word that had both our letters in it (at the beginning and at the end)…Beam. A beam is an element to help keep a structure in place or in shape, it is the connection between one point to another that helps to create strength. A beam can also be a balancing beam, balancing life, children, work and love. A beam of light representing an idea, a helping hand or even shining a light on the moment.
After further discoveries we added ‘mor’ to the word beam, which is a play on the word more; More ideas, more than meets the eye, we have worked hard but we still have more...and the end result, Beamor.

It has a little something from each of us and represents our beliefs and the strength behind what we can achieve. Barry had later sketched the logo which we had turned into a styled design with the colours representing all the elements we work with being wood, metal, earth, water and fire, including nature, minerals and purity.
